Troubleshooting

Something’s off.

  • Stringing or oozing

Nozzle too hot, or retraction too low

Drop nozzle 5 °C and/or bump retraction by 0.5 mm. Test on a retraction tower.

  • Layer adhesion is weak / parts split

Nozzle too cool or fan too aggressive on small layers

    Raise nozzle 5 °C. Drop part-cooling fan to 60–80% on layers under 5 s.

  • First layer won’t stick

    Bed level or Z-offset

Re-level / re-tram. Forgely Performance PLA sticks great to clean PEI at 60 °C with no glue needed.

  • Clicking extruder / under-extrusion

    Partial clog or tension issue

Cold-pull the nozzle. Check extruder tension — PLA shouldn’t need max grip.

  • Brittle filament snapping on the spool

Moisture uptake (very rare on sealed Forgely spools)

Dry at 45 °C for 4 hours. Store with the silica pack in a sealed bag.
